ATINO privacy policy
Draft of November 5, 2026.
ATINO is an app for discovering places and things to do in Panama. Here we explain what data of yours we use, what for, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
ATINO is a project of F2V Labs, which is still being incorporated in Panama.
Pending: The legal controller of your data and its address will be set once F2V Labs is incorporated. Until then, any request reaches the team at the email below.
What data we use
- Your account: your email, or your Google account if you sign in with it. If you use ATINO as a guest, we create an account without an email.
- Your profile: your name and avatar, if you add them.
- What you tell us in onboarding and in Profile: your language, whether you live in or are visiting Panama, your area, how you get around, your budget, your pace, your interests, who you go out with and your date of birth.
- What you do in the app: the places you see, open, save or search for, when you ask for Directions, and your answers to «Not for me», «I'm interested» and «How was it?».
- Your location, only if you allow it: your phone's position.
- Technical data: your type of phone, the app version, your phone's language and time zone, and which permissions you granted.
- If you report a problem with a place, what you write.
- If you have a business on the portal: the business name, your phone number and what you propose.
What we use it for
To give you an account, recommend places that suit you, show how far they are, improve recommendations and fix the catalog.
We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
If you turn on «Share my places», also to recommend places to other people.
How recommendations work
We rank places by your interests, how close they are, the time of day, how popular they are and how new they are to you. Your answers change that order: «Not for me» hides a place for a while. Every recommendation tells you why we show it.
Share my places
- If you turn on «Share my places», we use the places you save, ask directions to, and tell us you liked to recommend places to other people. For example, in «You might also like» on a place's page, and to know which places are popular.
- No one sees your list. A place is only suggested this way when at least three people chose it.
- Later on, ATINO will learn which places are alike from what people choose. It will only use what comes from people who turned this on. If you turn it off, we delete what was learned from you.
- It starts off. ATINO asks you once, after you save a place, ask for directions or tell us you went. You can change it anytime in Profile, under Account and privacy.
- If you don't turn it on, what you do still orders your own recommendations, but it is not used for other people's.
- If you turn it off, your places stop being used for other people from the next night. What was already computed before does not change.
- If you turn off «Personalize with my activity», «Share my places» turns off too.
Your location
We use it to tell you what is nearby and how far it is, and we keep each position for 12 months. You can turn off the permission in your phone settings at any time; ATINO keeps working with your area.
If you said you are 13 to 17, we keep only the area you are in, not the exact position, and we delete any exact positions we had from before.
Who we share data with
Only with the providers that run ATINO, which may store it outside Panama:
- Supabase: database, accounts and sign-in emails.
- Cloudflare: photos and street distance calculations.
- Google: Sign in with Google and the map on Android.
- Apple: the map on iPhone.
- Vercel: this website.
How long we keep it
- Your account, profile, interests and saved places: while you have an account.
- Your location: 12 months.
- What you do in the app and the lists we recommend: 12 months.
- App errors when saving what you do: 90 days.
Minors
ATINO is for people aged 13 or older, and the app asks your date of birth. People aged 13 to 17 do not see bars or nightlife until the day they turn 18. If we learn that someone under 13 uses ATINO, we delete their account.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. We answer within 10 business days at most. You can also go to Panama's National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI).
Deleting your account
In the app, under Profile → Delete account, or from the account deletion page. It deletes your account and everything linked to it. Only the catalog change log, without your name, and daily counts that do not identify you remain.
If something goes wrong
If there were a breach that affects you, we would tell you and the authority within 72 hours.
Changes to this policy
If we change something important, we will tell you in the app before it applies.
